READING, Pennsylvania, June 7, 2018 – EnerSys® (NYSE:ENS), the global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications and the manufacturer of ODYSSEY® batteries, will return as an official sponsor of action sports legend Brian Deegan in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) for the sixth consecutive year.
As an official sponsor, EnerSys will support Deegan in LOORRS, and his #38 Pro 2 truck will have an ODYSSEY® battery onboard. The ODYSSEY® battery logo will be prominently displayed on the race truck, the driver’s suits, and the LOORRS team semi-truck and hauler.
Deegan dominated LOORRS as the Pro 2 champion in 2011-2012 and also led the series in 2014. He was Pro Lite Unlimited champ in 2009, 2011, and 2013. In 23 X-Games appearances, Deegan has taken home 14 career X-Games medals, including four gold.
ODYSSEY® batteries are designed with an Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) construction and Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology for more engine-cranking power and reserve power than conventional batteries. ODYSSEY® batteries feature a three- to 10-year service life and two-year storage life at 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius). They are vibration resistant and classified as “non-spillable” by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
